Ohioana Library logo

Ohioana Library is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and promoting the written work of Ohio's writers, artists, and musicians. The Library was established in 1929 under the direction of Martha Kinney Cooper, then-First Lady of Ohio, who recruited other distinguished Ohioans to assist in gathering a collection of books written by Ohioans and about Ohioans and Ohio.

 

Ohio Alliance for Arts Education logoThe Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, a statewide arts education service organization, was founded in 1974 under the leadership of Dr. Dick Shoup and Jerry Tollifson. The organization has evolved over time into a nationally recognized leader in arts education. Much of the organization's success is based on a strong partnership among the Alliance, Ohio's professional arts education organizations (Ohio Music Education Association, Ohio Art Education Association, OhioDance, VSA Ohio, and the Ohio Educational Theatre Association), the Ohio Arts Council, and the Ohio Department of Education. It is the mission of the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education to ensure that the arts are an integral part of the education of every Ohioan.
