Ohio Arts Beacon of Light: Finding Hope in the New Normal

The Ohio Arts Council knows that creating community in this time of physical distancing is more important than ever. After all, artists help us all process the world as it changes around us.

That’s why we launched new project called the Ohio Arts Beacon of Light – to give Ohio artists a place to share, connect, and cope with the challenges presented by the coronavirus. We hope to inspire your fellow artists and the public at large through sharing your work, while giving our creative community a platform for connection, expression, and encouragement.

We invite artists of all ages, working in all disciplines, to submit their work through the Ohio Arts Beacon. You could be our next featured artist!

These are hard times, and we are facing many unknowns. We know that for some of you, this may not be the time to share your work. But, for those who are able to get into the studio and create—or, if you’re fortunate enough to work on your art from home—the world needs your voice and talent more than ever. Please help us show that, like a beacon illuminating the darkness, the arts inspire hope and guide the way forward.

Submit your work below and be sure to follow @Ohioartsbeacon on Instagram!
