ABOUT
Established on March 17, 1989, the OAC's Riffe Gallery showcases the work of Ohio artists and the collections of the state's museums and galleries. Admission is always free and open to the public.
The OAC is equally committed to making sure our services are accessible to people with disabilities, including artists with disabilities. We work closely with the statewide organization on arts and disabilities, Art Possible Ohio.
The OAC Riffe Gallery has an extensive offering of digital art archives both on our website and our social media pages. Captioned recordings of past artist talks and exhibition tours are available at any time on our Facebook and YouTube pages. Live captioning is also available during our events.
Chairs, stools, and large print material are available upon request. For individually trained service animals, there is green space at the Statehouse (directly across from the gallery), and water bowls for service animals are available upon request. The Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts has a wheelchair-accessible elevator as well as automatic doors and wheelchair accessible restrooms.
The Ohio Arts Council is committed to providing access and inclusion and reasonable accommodation in its services, activities, programs, and employment opportunities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable laws. To request a reasonable accommodation due to a disability please contact ADA Coordinator Kim Turner at 614-995-0066 or kim.turner@oac.ohio.gov no later than 14 days before the event.
