COLUMBUS, Ohio—Governor John R. Kasich has appointed Gary Hanson of Cleveland Heights to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) Board for a term ending July 1, 2021.

“It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Gary Hanson to the OAC board,” said OAC chair, Ginger Warner. “Mr. Hanson’s profound impact on the cultural landscape in northeastern Ohio, and really the world, as former executive director of the Cleveland Orchestra, illustrates his unwavering passion for the arts. His leadership will be a great asset to the Council.”
