5 March Ohio Arts Council Accepting Applications for ArtSTART Grants March 5, 2019 For Organizations, Invest Application, ArtSTART, Deadline, Funding, Grant, OAC, Ohio Arts Council 0 The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) is currently accepting applications for the ArtSTART program. The ArtSTART program provides flexible, accessible funding to help organizations complete short-term projects addressing a wide variety of goals and objectives. Most awards support the programming of new or emerging organizations, including first-time OAC applicants, as well as new or established organizations in areas not served by other arts providers. Funds may be used for a wide variety of expenses in an organization's overall operations or in the execution of a given activity or suite of related activities. Many grantees use ArtSTART funds to support artistic or administrative expenses, but other allowable expenses include marketing, program planning, education, and evaluation. Applicants may request between $1,000 and $5,000. All awards require a 1:1 cash match. All applicants must possess nonprofit status or nonprofit intent, but need not be registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. More eligibility details are covered in the ArtSTART grant PDF. To learn more about the ArtSTART program and to read the program guidelines, visit the Ohio Arts Council website. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on April 1, 2019 in order to be considered. Applications should be submitted via the ARTIE system. Please refer to the ARTIE: Organizational Grant Applications guidelines for a description of the process.
