15 Ohio Artists Win Awards at 2019 Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition

The 2019 Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition features work by 249 artists hailing from 34 Ohio counties. Each year, hundreds of amateur and professional artists from all around Ohio come together at the exhibition, which officially opened with an awards reception on July 23. Ohio Arts Council Board Approves More Than $14.7M in Arts Grants

The Ohio Arts Council board has approved 743 grants totaling $14,733,107 to support Ohio artists, organizations, students, educators, and public arts programming during its initial and major state fiscal year 2020 funding round.

Ohio Women Vote: Artist Commemorates Ohio’s Role in Ratifying the 19th Amendment with Stripe for Her Flag

Lindsay Dale-Scott, an Ohio illustrator and designer, designed a stripe to be sewn onto an 18-foot-by-26-foot flag commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment. Her stripe was  added to the flag at a July 21 public performance in Columbus.

Fiber Arts in the Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery

The Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery will open its newest exhibition, Thread Count: The Intersection of Mathematics and Fiber Arts, on Thursday, May 2. This exhibition features work by 13 contemporary fiber artists from the state of Ohio. These artists have created work featuring a variety of materials, shapes, and sizes.
