Meet Molly Uline-Olmstead, VSA Ohio’s New Executive Director

Molly Uline-Olmstead has trekked across the state to collect artwork for display in government offices, organized thousands of students and their complex research projects for Ohio History Day, and managed an ever-evolving art studio that aimed to give everyone the opportunity to create. Now, Uline-Olmstead is taking over at the helm of VSA Ohio, the state’s organization on arts and disability, and she sat down to talk about all things art and accessibility in this Q&A.

Albert Paley Sculpture Dedicated on University of Cincinnati Campus

Albert Paley’s “Progression,” a 44-foot-wide landscape sculpture, has a new home, moving from Midtown Manhattan to a Midwestern campus to settle in front of the University of Cincinnati’s Health Sciences Building. The piece was commissioned as part of Ohio's Percent for Art program, which supports the acquisition, commissioning, and installation of artwork for new or renovated public buildings.

The Columbus Museum of Art's exhibition, In a New Light: Alice Schille and the American Watercolor Movement, showcases the Columbus native’s work from her very beginning through her final years on the occasion of her 150th birthday. In honor of Schille's outstanding contributions to Ohio art, we take a look back through the Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery archives to see how these watercolors change the way we view the world around us.
