Midwest Realities: Regional Painting 1920-1950 contains 42 paintings that demonstrate the technique of artists whose approach to realism gave new insight to the midwestern landscape as metaphor. The images presented in the exhibition are products of the American culture, politics and economics of the 1920s, '30s and '40s.
