Here And Beyond: Ohio Art League's 100th Anniversary Exhibition
July 30 - October 25, 2009

The 16 artists in this exhibition employ an array of media including painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, fabric and quilt works, installation, and photography, to deal with the concept of HERE, not only the notion of locale and origination, but that sense of immediacy of place and time, fused with reaching for the beyond.

Opening Reception: Thursday, July 30, 2009 5-8 p.m.
Food and soft drinks will be generously donated by members of Ohio Art League.

Family Workshop With Here and Beyond artist Sarah E. Fairchild
Children ages 6 - 17 will work with common objects such as weeds and flowers to make objects come to life through the use of fluorescent color. Registration is required as space is limited and all children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Registration begins July 30 and ends August 15, 2009 online at www.riffegallery.org.

The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) will place several programs on a funding hiatus during the FY2010/2011 biennium and reduce one program to a single deadline. The International Partnership and Capacity Building programs will be on hiatus for FY2010, Arts Innovation and International Partnership for FY2011 and the Arts Access program will accept applications only at the March 1, 2010 deadline.
