In his recent book, Architecture and the American Dream, Whitaker analyzes American cultural values and their impact on our architecture and cities. His current public design projects include preparation of a self-sustaining reuse plan for Governor's Island, New York, and preparation of a master plan for the waterfront of Hoboken, New Jersey.
