The new funding programs are available for review in Guidelines. You must read Guidelines to determine the best new funding category for your application. The Ohio Arts Council staff is here to help you apply for your OAC grant. If you need help determining the appropriate program category please review the information by program in the Programs section. If you are still unsure about which grant program is best for you or your organization contact the OAC Public Information Office. Nearly all grant applications (see exceptions below) for the OAC's Fiscal Year 2006 (activities for July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006) must be submitted via OnLine Grant Applications (OLGA), the OAC's web-based application system. To enter OLGA, click here. The first deadline for a program using OLGA will be January 15, 2005 (Arts Innovation). You must read Guidelines before applying to any OAC program. To see a list of all FY2006 deadlines visit the Deadlines page in Guidelines. FY2006 Exceptions from OLGA Before you submit an application for funding to the Ohio Arts Council, please read all of the pertinent sections of Guidelines and instructions for application forms. We strongly encourage all potential applicants to contact our office to communicate with the appropriate program coordinators before they complete their application forms. This initial contact will greatly benefit grant applicants when the Ohio Arts Council staff and panelists review their applications. Contacting your program coordinator in advance and submitting a draft application allows the OAC staff to become familiar with your organization and its work. We encourage all applicants - both first-time and repeat applicants - to submit draft applications. After you have determined the grant program to which you will apply and the deadline for that program, you should notify your program coordinator of your intent to apply for funding at least 60 days before the final application is due. You can do this in three ways:
Please be sure to read the OAC's Legal Requirements before applying to any OAC program.
