Ohio Heritage Fellowship Nominations
Each year, the Ohio Arts Council in partnership with the Ohio Folk Arts Network awards three $1,500 Ohio Heritage Fellowships to individuals or groups whose work in the folk arts has had a significant impact on the people and communities of the state. This is your opportunity to recognize, on a statewide level, a person or group in your community who has made this significant impact. The folk and traditional arts grow out of particular cultures; are learned informally and are recognized as the artistic expressions of ethnic, linguistic, occupational or regional groups.
Awards are given each year from three categories: Performing Arts, Material Culture and Community Leadership.
Search is easiest and will return the most relevant records if limited to specific parameters. Entering no search parameters will return all records.

The Columbus Metropolitan Library, Ohio Arts Council and Friends of the Library have once again partnered to bring arts opportunities to artists and the public by presenting a juried art show at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Main Library. In 1998 the two organizations collaborated to create the Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry (OOVAR), a database that showcases the work of more than 700 artists from Ohio and around the world.
