31 July OAC's Riffe Gallery Accepts 59 Ohio Artists into Juried Exhibition July 31, 2015 artists, For Artists, For the Public, News, Public, Riffe Gallery artists, Inaugural Juried Exhibition, OAC, Ohio Arts Council, Riffe Gallery 0 The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery sent out its first open call-for-entry and asked Ohio's visual artists to show us what they've got, and they delivered in a big way. Nearly 400 artists submitted one to three artworks in media ranging from printmaking to video to ceramics. Three Ohio arts leaders—Marilyn Simmons, SPACES (Cleveland); Tyler Cann, Columbus Museum of Art; and Petra Kralickova, Athens—ultimately selected 59 artworks in a blind-jury process. Three $500 Juror's Choice Awards (one per juror) and one $1,000 Best in Show Award will be presented at the public opening reception on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. The Inaugural Juried Exhibition will run from November 5, 2015, through January 9, 2016.
