Arts and PreK-12 Schools
The arts are an essential part of primary and secondary education. Arts-rich academic programs introduce students to inspiring artistic traditions, sharpen their critical awareness, raise the intellectual culture of the school, revitalize teaching, and foster higher achievement in all subjects, including math and reading.
This section of the OAC Web site provides resources associated with the OAC’s and the Ohio Department of Education’s School Leaders Initiative. The resources are designed to help school leaders and their community arts partners put theory into practice with the goal to improve education in Ohio.

Links and Threads is an electronic newsletter for district and education leaders and their arts partners who value arts learning as an integral part of the core curriculum.
